We understand that whilst students are in Australia they will want to take every opportunity to travel and visit some of our beautiful country.
Here at Southport State High School we arrange four trips per year. All trips are at students own expense and are optional. Some destinations include Tangalooma, Byron Bay, Mt Tamborine, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
If you choose to travel other than these school options, International students need to be aware that there are certain guidelines and restrictions to travelling within Australia. This is due to the welfare arrangement in place for students. Please refer to the Travel Procedure External link to familiarise yourself with the travel conditions prior to arriving in Australia.
Another option for the international students wanting to travel further Education Queensland International (EQI) offers optional Holiday Adventure Programs External link during school vacation periods to a number of different destinations. Additional fees apply.
