Year 7 2026 Enrolment Applications NOW OPEN.
We hold one Excellence Information & Open Afternoon in February each year.
Due to the high number of enrolment enquiries we cannot offer school tours
We value every student and family that joins Southport State High Independent Public School. To that end we conduct an enrolment interview for every new member of the school to ensure your needs are addressed and questions answered.
To enrol at Southport State High Independent Public School you will need to complete the Enrolment Application and submit along with all relevant documentation. An enrolment interview will be arranged once the application has been approved by the Executive Principal. You will receive further information at a later date with your interview date and time. Year 7 enrolment interviews for next year will be held toward the end of term three.
The following documents are required for enrolment:
- Student's Birth Certificate
- Student's Passport and relevant Visa if coming from overseas
- Student's two most recent semester reports
- Student's most recent NAPALN results (Year 5, 7 or 9)

Catchment
Because of enrolment capacity and growth it is necessary for Southport State High School to take action to manage enrolments.
The School Enrolment Management Plan (School EMP) sets out the conditions under which students may be enrolled into Southport State High School, subject to any other requirements or limitations as detailed in the Education Act 2006 (Qld).
The EMP is to be read in conjunction with the
catchment area map.
Resource Scheme
Southport State High School operates a textbook and resource hire scheme. This highly successful initiative aims to:
- reduce the costs for parents
- increase resources available to students
- increase the learning opportunities for students
- reduce the demands upon parents for additional outlays during the school year
Some elective subjects incur additional fees. This is to cover the cost of specific materials required for the course.
