As the 2022 school year gets underway, we are pleased to share an update on building and renovation projects completed over the school holiday break as well as further works and upgrades planned for throughout the year.

As you may have noticed when travelling along Brooke Avenue recently, our new ‘GENERATE’ building is complete and students and teachers alike are enjoying this new facility. GENERATE has a number of classrooms which will be primarily used for HaSS and Learning Enhancement classes. Other features include a kitchen and a large undercover area for students to sit and work out of the rain and sun.

The major works along Brooke Avenue are almost complete and we look forward to the improved safety and efficient student movement this project will deliver. Upgrades include but are not limited to: moving the pedestrian crossing to directly outside the Sports Centre, installing a fence along the pedestrian island in the middle of the road and wider footpaths. All of these improvements will go a long way towards keeping our students safe when arriving and leaving school each day. We thanks our community for their patience during this construction.

Other facility upgrades include:

  • New Canteen: Due mid-Year

  • Removal of temporary classrooms: Completed during Christmas Holidays

  • Creating an undercover eating area: Due Mid-Year

  • Upgrade of the hill area leading onto the Top Oval: Current

  • Creation of new outdoor seating and eating areas: Current

We are excited to share all of these wonderful developments and improvements with our students throughout the year ahead.
