The Mayor's Telstra Technology Award 2015

Southport State High School has been selected as one of the finalists in The Mayor's Telstra Technology Award 2015.

The award encourages students to dream big and come up with the next big technological idea. It could be something new and revolutionary, or it could be a new take on an existing product or service.

The team from Southport has submitted an idea that revolutionises traditional diagnostic and preventative health care processes. The CDA machine abolishes several steps in the current method used to obtain pathology results and opens up opporunities for improved preventative health care for the whole population, especially the elderly, those in rural and remote areas and third world countries.

Check out the details on the The Mayors Telstra Technology Award Facebook page. The Southport High team is Team #9.
