The Science Department caters for all students, incorporating subjects that include the traditional areas of Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Marine Studies which have pathways into universities and career paths, whilst also offering Marine and Aquatic Pursuits, and Certificates I & II in Rural Operations which are practical based courses which lead to TAFE and the workforce.
In 2009, 9 electives across years 8, 9 and 10 are on offer for those students who have an interest in Science and who require a pathway into the senior Science disciplines.
To study any of the Sciences, students need a good work ethic with homework and study being integral to success.
Students studying a science course will be encouraged to participate in the ICAS Science competition.
