CERTIFICATE II IN SPORT AND RECREATION (SRO20106) Cert II in Sport and Rec is a NON-OP SUBJECT designed for students who enjoy sport and want to develop skills relevant to a career in the sports and recreation industry.
Who should do PHYSICAL RECREATION? Physical Recreation is best suited to students who have a motivation to develop skills in sports coaching, sports administration, fitness instruction and first aid.
To receive Cert II in Sport and Recreation, students must achieve competency in the following units:
5 Core Units:
BSBCMN202A - Organise and complete daily work activities
SRXFAD001A - Provide First Aid SRXGCS002A - Deal with client feedback SRXINU001A - Develop knowledge of the sport and recreation industry SRXOHS001B - Follow defined occupational health and safety policies and procedures
1 Group of Specialisation Units
5 elective units:
SRXCA1004B - Plan a session or program for participants SRXCA1005B - Conduct sport and recreation sessions for participants SRXCA1003B - Provide equipment for activities SRFFIT004B - Develop basic fitness programs SRSOGP002A - Apply rules and regulations to conduct games and competitions.
Do we get to play sport? This subject is certainly not designed for students who just want to play sport. However, there will be plenty of opportunities to play sport while, achieving competency in the certificate units.
